சென்னை அண்ணாசாலையில் உள்ள சாந்தி திரையரங்கில் பிரமாண்டமான ரஜினி கட்-அவுட்கள் வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தன. லிட்டர் லிட்டராக பால் ஊற்றி அபிஷேகம் செய்தார்கள் ரசிகர்கள். சமீபத்தில் ரஜினி படம் எதுவும் ரிலீஸ் ஆகாத நிலையில் இதென்ன புது கலாட்டா? என்று தலையை நீட்டினால், குசேலன் படப்பிடிப்பு! முழு படமும் முன்பே முடிந்துவிட்டாலும் இது பேட்ச் வொர்க்காம்.

கதைப்படி தனது நண்பன் ரஜினி, பெரிய நடிகர் ஆனதும் அவரை பார்க்க கிராமத்திலிருந்து தனது மனைவி மீனாவுடன் வருகிறார் பசுபதி. ரஜினி படம் ரிலீஸ் ஆகும் தியேட்டருக்கு வருகிற அவரால், உள்ளேயே செல்ல முடியாதபடி கூட்டம். ஒருவழியாக போராடி இருவரும் உள்ளே நுழைவது போல காட்சி. இதற்காக ஏகப்பட்ட ரஜினி கட்-அவுட்களை வைத்திருந்தார்கள் தியேட்டர் வாசலில். (ஆனால், நாம் போன நேரத்தில் பசுபதியோ, மீனாவோ இல்லாதது ஏமாற்றம்)

இரண்டாயிரம் ஜுனியர் ஆர்ட்டிஸ்டுகள் வரவழைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தாலும், ரஜினியின் ரசிகர் மன்றத்தை சேர்ந்தவர்கள் ஸ்கிரீனில் வரவேண்டும் என்பதற்காக, தலைமை மன்றத்திடம் சொன்னாராம் பி.வாசு. இதையடுத்து சுமார் 400 பேர் வந்திருந்தார்கள். இவர்கள்தான் ரஜினியின் கட்-அவுட்டுக்கு பால் ஊற்றி பரவசப்பட்டார்கள்.

'படத்தை உடனே பார்க்கணும் போல இருக்கு' என்றாராம் ரஜினி. சிவாஜி, சந்திரமுகி போன்ற எத்தனையோ பிரமாண்டமான படங்களில் நடித்தபோது கூட இப்படி கேட்டதில்லை. அந்தளவுக்கு இந்த படத்தின் மீது ஆர்வமும் அக்கறையும் இருக்கிறது ரஜினி சாருக்கு என்றார் பி.வாசு. கதபறயும் போள் படத்தில் மம்முட்டி எத்தனை மடங்கு வந்தாரோ, அதைவிட நாலு மடங்கு அதிகமாக குசேலனில் வருகிறாராம் ரஜினி.

Cellphones from Onida revealed

Onida joins the league of Samsung, LG and Haier to become the fourth consumer durable goods manufacturer to enter the cellphone market in India. The brand that made its mark in India with a tagline – Neighbour’s envy, owner’s pride - is expected to launch its range of cellphones sometime later this month. Cellpassion had first reported about Onida’s plans to foray into the cellular space in November, last year.

We now have the details of the phones under the Onida Mobile umbrella. The devices, which are expected to be priced between Rs 2,000 and Rs 10,000 have been segregated into three series – F, G and V. The F-series has three phones, all with a 2 MP camera, the G-series seems to be the mid-end series with two phones having FM radio and expandable memory, while the V-series has just one phone boasting of an FM radio with an internal antenna.

'Ayan' - From Malaysia to Zanzibar

Ayan Gallery Suriya starrer ‘Ayan’ was shot extensively in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The crew is now planning to shift to exotic locales in Zanzibar (part of the Eastern African Republic of Tanzania). Says a happy cinematographer - director K V Anand, ' ‘Ayan’ starring Suriya and Tamanna is shaping up fast. AVM Productions deserves a pat for giving us necessary encouragement to shoot the film.' We shot a few stunt sequences in Malaysia, which was choreographed by William Hong of ‘Billa’ fame. Now we are planning to shoot some important scenes in Zanzibar as places like Australia and Switzerland have been exposed well in Tamil cinema a lot'. ‘Suriya is busy completing ‘Varanam Aayiram’ and Tamanna with Ananda Thandavam. Once those movies are over, ‘Ayan’ will be completed in one go’, he added.
